20 August 2013

Lewis Clarke,  will be holding a final fundraising event before he embarks on the mamouth trek. BS7 gym have helped with Lewis' training and have also been the sponsor for Lewis to help him achieve all his targets.

The mission which Lewis will attempt in 2013 is to become the youngest person to walk the full 700 miles from the edge of the Antartic continent to the geographic South Pole. This challenge will be undertaken completely unaided and without outside support or assistance.

The challenge for is a 700 mile trek to conquer the coldest, highest, windiest and driest continent on Earth. Hauling a 60kg sledge from edge of the Antarctic continent to the South Pole, he will live off 9000 calories a day with 60 days of nothing but extreme fatique, whiteouts and relentless winds of up to 218mph.

On Wednesday 18th September One Show star and historian Dan Snow has very kindly offered to host ‘An Evening With Dan Snow’ to support my ‘Youngest-To-SouthPole’ expedition. It will run from 20:00-21:30 and will take place at the QEH Theatre, Jacobs Wells Road, Bristol.
