Everyone at BS7 Gym would like to wish Gloucestershire Cricket Board community coach Pete Lamb the best of luck in his charity challenge.
Pete is going to run a 24 hour cricket coaching session at BS7 Gym to raise money for Cricket Without Boundaries (CWB).
The Coalpit Heath CC player is heading to Rwanda with the cricket development and HIV/AIDS awareness charity for a two-week project in October.
Pete is aiming to get different people to attend hourly coaching sessions around the clock in order to raise funds for the project.

He said: “Knowing all funds raised will make a huge difference to those less fortunate than us is a great reason to give a little.
“CWB is charity I have been aware of for a couple of years who do great work using cricket as a tool for social development in Africa. I enjoy being able to make a difference and this is a great opportunity to do so.
“CWB has already done so much positive work in Rwanda and having the chance to add to this is exciting. I am also looking forward to improving as a coach and meeting some great like-minded people.”
CWB uses cricket as a tool to promote vital health and social messages in Rwanda, Kenya, Cameroon, Uganda and Botswana.
Typically a group spend two weeks travelling around the country delivering coaching sessions as well as developing home-grown cricket coaches aiming to create a legacy for the sport.
October 2017 sees the opening of Rwanda Cricket’s new National stadium so much of the work Pete and his team of volunteers will be undertaking will be linked with this.
