If you want to increase muscle mass, there is a very simple approach which is scientifically proven to be effective.  The rules are simple.  Forget the isolation exercises that only work small muscle groups at a time and dominate your routine with big, multi-muscle group lifts.  So sorry guys, but spending the whole session doing every arm curl imaginable is not the way.  Even the bench press, although working several muscles, is not the way to go.  Instead an exercise programme to achieve muscle mass increase should focus on lifts such as the Deadlift, Squats, Cleans and push presses.
